I don't know if you are familiar with this creature, but when my daughter was in 3rd grade she announced her desire to visit the Gobi desert because she wanted to study the Gobi jerboa. She is now 31 and works at a hospital ER overnight, but she's a diehard animal lover also.

If they weren't pack animals I would want one as a pet, but that would be too cruel to separate them. They are adorable!
