Hi!

I’m Wendi Gratz. I’m an artist, reader, cook, and over-user of exclamation points and emojis. I design fabric, stuffed animals, embroidery patterns, and applique quilts with happy animal faces. If I’m watching TV I’m doing something with my hands—usually drawing, stitching, crocheting, or eating. 😁 I’m the creator of Shiny Happy World, a website chock full of free video tutorials, plus hundreds of fun patterns.

I write about all of the above, and also about living a creative life in general. I live in Asheville, North Carolina with my husband (author Alan Gratz), my daughter, and my very anxious dog.
