Hello, friends!
Now that I’ve got a big batch of new patterns either finished or almost-finished, I’ll be back in your inbox every Monday as I get them listed in the shop.
This week I have two new patterns for you!
Here you can see them both in one block. 🥰
First up is Carla Capybara.
Did you know that capybaras are the largest rodents in the world? They live in the rainforests of Central and South America - so this pattern will be included in the Rainforest bundle when I get the others animals finished for it.
They also live outside rainforests, but always in warm areas with thick vegetation near fresh water.
They love water and need it to be able to escape from predators, so I made a sample where I added some water from the free Wavy Waves pattern.
Capybaras are very friendly little critters and you often see them with birds perched on their heads, so when I designed the Beryl Bird pattern I included a mini version sized to share a block with the capybara and other animals.
You saw Beryl with the capybara at the top of this letter. So cute!
Here she is with Harper Hippo.
And here she is with her best friend, Colby Cat.
Of course, Beryl’s pattern also includes templates for a full-sized bird, so she can fill a regular 10-inch block.
I think it would be lovely to add her (large or small - or both!) to the Wild Flowers applique pattern, but I didn’t have time to make samples for that.
Maybe one of you will? If you do, please share it to the Shiny Happy People group so we can all see!
Speaking of the Shiny Happy People group, look at this beauty that Connie made!
She used the Beep Beep pattern, and added sashing. I love how she added names and car sounds to her quilt - and I especially love how the car sounds sometimes wrap around the vehicles. So much fun!!!
Head over to the Shiny Happy People group on Facebook to see lots more wonderfulness people are making with my patterns—and to ask questions and share photos of your own projects. It’s my favorite place on the internet!
Thanks so much for reading! I hope you love the new patterns, and I hope you have a fabulous week!
Happy stitching!
Best,
Wendi
