In an effort to have fewer email providers chop my emails in half because they’re so dang long, I’ve moved my inspirations (book recommendations, favorite recipes, and awesome artists) to their own newsletter every Wednesday. Think of it as a quick way to fill your cup in the middle of the week. 🥰
If you’d rather not receive these Wednesday emails you can turn them off and still receive the regular Monday news and Friday archives.

Easy peasy!
Spread a little joy today! Pass this along to someone who’d love it. 🥰
This week I’m sharing amazing art made with the most surprising materials.
Would you believe this is made with staples? STAPLES! This video shows the artist at work and peeks at a bunch of different projects, and you can find their Instagram feed here.
Here are four more artists who do amazing work with humble (and surprising) materials. . .
Maureen Sorensen makes incredibly detailed art out of seeds!
This article is all about the embroidered breads of Greece. Just stunning!
Ok, we’ve all seen art made of cardboard before, but I’ve never seen any like this! Those lions!!! There are some great videos showing his process, too.
Kristen Meyer doesn’t use just one material in her quilt-like geometric art. She uses lots of simple household objects! My favorites are the fruits and vegetables and flowers. There’s an article here with more info and photos.
Enjoy!
Best,
Wendi

These are delightful! I've enjoyed searching for the artists' names on YouTube and getting to watch them create and be interviewed, in some cases. Thanks for widening my artistic world today!
