A New and Improved Bald eagle - Just in Time for the 4th of July 🦅
Plus - Free Cow Wallpaper!
Hello, friends!
Last week I realized that the 4th of July is this Friday (nothing sneaks up on me like a holiday named for the actual date it’s celebrated 🤣) so I dropped everything and moved my remake of the Birds of Prey pattern to the top of my to-do list.
I call it the Birds of Prey pattern instead of the Bald Eagle pattern because you can use it to make just about any raptor, simply by changing the fabrics you use.
Here’s a red-shouldered hawk.
Make eagles, hawks, falcons, kites - just about any of the classic birds of prey. But I do love making bald eagles. Here’s another I made in the soft Sea Breeze color collection for an Arctic Bundle I’m nearly ready to release.
Get the Birds of Prey pattern here.
Only twenty-one single-block patterns left to update!
If you want to make one of the patterns you already have just a little more festive for the upcoming holiday, I recommend the Fancy Doodads pattern. The top hat is very fun to make in stars and stripes fabrics.
Also new - July starts tomorrow and a new month means a new free wallpaper for all your devices.
This month it’s a sweet cow - buttery yellow on a grape jelly background.
(And now I want buttered toast with jelly! 🤤)
As always, you can get it wide or tall, with or without the calendar.

Look at the pretty, pretty quilt that Liz made for her sister-in-law! She used the Chirp pattern and a lovely soft palette with lots of neutrals. Beautiful!
Head over to the Shiny Happy People group on Facebook to see lots more wonderfulness people are making with my patterns—and to ask questions and share photos of your own projects. It’s my favorite place on the internet!
Thanks so much for reading! Have a fabulous week!
Happy stitching!
Best,
Wendi

P.S. - Looking for kits? Quilting Cat Crafts is selling (with my permission) kits for the Cuddly Cats applique pattern. Take a look!
